Endings only exist where you want them to exists. Think of a book, if you wanted to, you could stop reading before the ending and say that where you stopped is the ending.

Sometimes where you stop is the difference between a sad ending and a happy one. Not that real happy endings exist in real life, but I've met enough dreamers who thought they did.

Maybe they're right.
